Milestones in Development of State-Law in History
The theme of the section focuses on the various milestones in the development of the state and law in history, from the origins of the Roman Empire to the present day. The state and law as two key elements have shaped the form of society since its origins, and have also faced various challenges and pitfalls during the different stages of society's development. The ambition of this section is therefore to identify these milestones also with a view to finding solutions to the current challenges of society, in the spirit of M. T. Cicero's dictum: historia magistra vitae.
